Civita di Bagnoregio (VT, Lazio, Italy).
The city was founded by the Etruscans around 2,500 years ago.
Legend has it that to give it this name was Desiderius, King of Longobards (756-774 ad), healed from a serious illness thanks to thermal water in the city.
In the middle ages had a troubled history, because it was situated in a strategic position.
It is also known under the name of “Dying City”, because the spur of rock on which is built suffers the erosive action of the rain on the clay.
In this foggy morning, its appearance is almost surreal, almost as if it could mark the boundary between the present and the past.
When you arrive to the village of Bagnoregio, suddenly appears the sight of Civita: I assure you that is a show really exciting!
